With the nation back in lockdown and redundancies expected to skyrocket, Pimento, the independent agency network has teamed up with a group of HR consultants, recruiters and financial experts to offer a series of online workshops to help those out of a job.

With the nation back in lockdown and redundancies expected to skyrocket. Our new series of online workshops ‘What Next’ will provide expert advice to equip those in the marketing industry with the skills and know-how to find a new job.
In addition, this scheme is designed to provide expert advice to equip those in the marketing industry with the skills and know-how to find a new job.
Starting from November 10th 2020, the workshops will cover a range of topics from mental health advice through to going freelance and CV writing.
What Next has been created by a consortium of experts in the fields of HR, recruitment, personal finance, mental health and freelancing, including Reality HR, Pimento People, Talent Spark , Premier Consultants, Wilcox Day Wealth Management and Ambassador for Mental Health First Aid England Michelle Morgan.
Stephen Knight, founder and CEO of Pimento, said: “We are expecting a jobs bloodbath in the coming months with the marketing and communications industry being amongst the hardest hit. These seminars are designed help all those affected to get their feet back on the ground after the shock of redundancy.”
The Chartered Institute of Marketing estimates that almost 40,000 people – one in ten of the marketing work force – will lose their jobs. Other research shows just over a half of all agencies are planning to make redundancies this year.
The programme also has the support of the Alliance of Independent Agencies and the PRCA, and a number of other leading industry bodies are looking to extend the reach of the programme in the coming weeks.
